The QFC Civil and Commercial Court is responsible for hearing and delivering judgment on each individual case that comes before it, provides judges of the highest legal standard and provides complete impartiality to every case that comes before the court.

The Civil and Commercial Court is tasked with upholding the high standards set by the QFC as a whole. The court’s key task is to build trust and confidence in the new legal system from the ground upwards, safeguarding businesses’ interests and the overall mission of the QFC in its entirely.

In the event of disputes as to matters of law, the Court is the final arbiter. Modeled on the internationally respected Commercial Court in London, the Court takes into account the needs of a sophisticated financial centre; it adheres to common law principles and has a flexible procedure designed to resolve disputes within the QFC in an effective and speedy manner.
